Because of her blood

A story from Middle-earth. Vidumavi was daughter of the king of Rhovanion. She married Valacar, the Gondorian heir to the throne. They had a son - Eldacar, called also in his mother's language Vinitharya. Vidumavi came from a short-lived folk (in comparison with the Numenoreans of course), so not all people in Gondor were glad to see her as their queen. Later they were also unwilling to accept Eldacar as a king.
This is a sad story. What was Vidumavi thinking when she arrived to Gondor, closed in a city of stone, so far from the nomadic life of her kinsmen?

I tried to draw her, and Eldacar, and I'll be grateful for any advices how to improve this work
